Role Summary

The Medication Aide/Med Tech is responsible for administering medications and treatments to residents in accordance with physician orders, ensuring safety, accuracy, and dignity. They follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration, document promptly in MAR/TAR, and monitor residents during and after medication passes. The role includes observing residents for health changes, reporting concerns, completing narcotic counts, maintaining medication areas, and adhering to infection control and safety protocols.

Qualifications & Skills:

• High School Diploma/GED and age 18+
• Medication Administration certification
• CPR and First Aid certifications
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Preferred experience in senior care

This position plays a vital role in preventing medication errors, early identification of health issues, and safeguarding resident safety through meticulous attention to detail and compliance with regulations.
