Role Overview

The Medication Aide/Med Tech is responsible for administering medications and treatments safely and accurately to residents, ensuring dignity and compliance with regulations. Key duties include following the Six Rights of Medication Administration, documenting in MAR/TAR in real time, monitoring residents during and after medication passes, and reporting concerns promptly.

Additional responsibilities involve maintaining clean medication carts and rooms, completing narcotic counts, and adhering to infection control and safety standards. The role plays a vital part in preventing medication errors, early detection of health changes, and safeguarding resident safety through attention to detail and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications and Skills

• High School Diploma/GED and age 18+
• Medication Administration certification
• CPR and First Aid certifications
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Preferred experience in senior care
