Role Overview

The Medication Aide/Med Tech is responsible for administering medications and treatments safely, accurately, and with dignity to residents in a senior living environment. They follow physician orders, adhere to the Six Rights of Medication Administration, and document all actions in MAR/TAR in real time.

Key duties include observing residents during and after medication passes, monitoring symptoms, reporting concerns promptly, completing narcotic counts, maintaining clean medication carts and rooms, and following infection control and safety standards.

The role requires certification in Medication Administration, CPR, and First Aid, along with a High School Diploma or GED. Strong documentation and communication skills are essential, with prior senior care experience preferred.

The position plays a vital role in preventing medication errors, early detection of health changes, and ensuring resident safety through regulatory compliance and attention to detail.
