Role Overview:
This position involves performing screening and diagnostic mammograms, with opportunities to learn additional responsibilities such as Localizations, stereotactic, and Contrast Enhanced (CEM) biopsies. The technologist prepares patients and equipment, performs procedures independently, including portable exams and on-call situations, ensuring quality and accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms
- Learn and assist with biopsies and advanced imaging procedures
- Prepare patients and operate imaging equipment
- Maintain quality control standards
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate’s Degree or Trade School equivalency
- Registered RT (R) certification; Mammography certification preferred but willing to train
- Licenses including IEMA (excl MRI), RTR, CT, MR, among others
- No prior experience required; 2+ years preferred for advanced roles
- CPR and IV Therapy certifications are advantageous
