LPN – Practical Nurse – Acute Care Trauma Unit

Role Overview: An Inpatient Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct patient care, addressing physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs, while supporting discharge planning and patient education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute data to assessments and evaluations based on scope of practice and standards.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and respond proactively to patient needs.
  • Administer treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies according to policies.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions and adjust plans accordingly.
  • Participate in decision-making, provide input for performance appraisals, and mentor new staff and students.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing.
  • Ability to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care and promote safety and satisfaction.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous learning.

Additional Details: Work involves typical clinical environment duties, with hours primarily from 7p-7:30a, including every other weekend and holiday shifts. The role emphasizes compliance with policies and fostering a safe, supportive environment for patients and staff.
