LPN Medical Care Manager – Part Time

Role Overview

The LPN Medication Nurse provides licensed nursing support in a senior living environment, focusing on safe medication administration, health monitoring, and accurate clinical documentation.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Administering medications and treatments according to physician orders
  • Following the Six Rights of Medication Administration
  • Accurately documenting in MAR/TAR in real time
  • Monitoring symptoms and administering medications for symptom relief
  • Reporting refusals or adverse reactions promptly
  • Conducting Service & Health Updates (SHUs)
  • Transcribing physician orders and supporting care plan updates
  • Observing and reporting physical, emotional, or cognitive changes
  • Maintaining medication carts, completing narcotic counts, and ensuring compliance standards

Qualifications and skills required include an active LPN license in good standing, CPR and First Aid certifications, and strong assessment and documentation skills. Experience in senior care or medication administration is preferred.

This role is vital in preventing medication errors, early identification of health changes, and ensuring resident safety through clinical precision and regulatory adherence.
