Role Overview
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Medication Nurse provides licensed nursing support by administering medications, monitoring resident health, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation in a senior living environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders, following the Six Rights of Medication Administration
- Accurately document in MAR/TAR in real-time
- Monitor symptoms, report adverse reactions or refusals promptly
- Conduct Service & Health Updates (SHUs)
- Transcribe physician orders and support care plan updates
- Observe and report physical, emotional, or cognitive changes in residents
- Maintain medication carts, perform narcotic counts, and ensure compliance standards
Qualifications & Skills:
- Active LPN license in good standing
- CPR and First Aid certifications
- Strong assessment and documentation skills
- Experience in senior care or medication administration preferred
