Role: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Medication Nurse responsible for providing safe and accurate medication administration, health monitoring, and clinical documentation in a senior living environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments following physician orders and the Six Rights of Medication Administration
- Accurately document in MAR/TAR in real-time
- Monitor residents for symptoms, adverse reactions, and changes in physical, emotional, or cognitive status
- Support care plan updates by transcribing physician orders and conducting Service & Health Updates (SHUs)
- Report any medication refusals, adverse reactions, or health concerns promptly
- Maintain medication carts, perform narcotic counts, and ensure regulatory compliance
Qualifications & Skills:
- Active LPN license in good standing
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Strong assessment, observation, and documentation skills
- Experience in senior care or medication administration preferred
