Role Overview

The LPN Medication Nurse provides licensed nursing support to seniors, focusing on safe medication administration, health monitoring, and precise clinical documentation.

Key responsibilities include:

• Administering medications and treatments according to physician orders
• Following the Six Rights of Medication Administration
• Accurately documenting in MAR/TAR in real-time
• Monitoring symptoms and administering medications for symptom relief
• Reporting refusals or adverse reactions promptly
• Conducting Service & Health Updates (SHUs)
• Transcribing physician orders and supporting care plan updates
• Observing and reporting physical, emotional, or cognitive changes
• Maintaining medication carts, completing narcotic counts, and ensuring compliance standards

This role plays a vital part in preventing medication errors, early health issue detection, and safeguarding resident safety through clinical precision and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications and skills required include:

• Active LPN license in good standing
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Strong assessment and documentation skills
• Experience in senior care or medication administration is preferred
