Role Overview: This position is for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) providing specialized outpatient pediatric allergy care in a team-oriented environment. The role involves supporting healthcare providers, assisting with diagnostic procedures, managing patient care, and ensuring accurate documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain and document patient histories, vital signs, and prepare patients for examinations.
- Assist providers with minor surgical and diagnostic procedures.
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
- Administer medications and vaccines, including skin testing, under provider supervision.
- Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment, ensuring asepsis and readiness of exam rooms.
- Communicate effectively with patients and providers, prioritizing and responding to patient needs.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing (required).
- Ability to provide care for patients within specific age ranges.
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
