LPN – Licensed Practical Nurse – New Acute Care Unit

Role: Inpatient Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) responsible for delivering compassionate, patient-centered care in a clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to patient assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care according to scope of practice and unit standards.
  • Address the physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families throughout hospitalization.
  • Provide direct care including treatments, medications, and diagnostic procedures, and evaluate intervention effectiveness.
  • Coordinate care by collaborating with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, and ancillary staff.
  • Reinforce patient and family education, discharge planning, and promote safety and satisfaction.
  • Mentor and precept new staff and students, participating in unit-based decision-making and evidence-based practice initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Graduate of a Specialty Training Program in Nursing.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment and adhere to policies and procedures.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on compassionate patient interactions.

Additional Details: Work hours typically include early mornings to early evenings, with every other weekend and holiday shifts. The role offers opportunities for professional growth, mentorship, and involvement in community and safety initiatives.
