LPN – Licensed Practical Nurse – New Acute Care Unit

Role Overview: Provides direct patient care as an Inpatient Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), contributing to assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care. Promotes safety, patient satisfaction, and compassionate interactions while coordinating care and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient needs and contribute data within scope of practice and unit standards.
  • Address physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families.
  • Reinforce education, discharge planning, and family needs throughout hospitalization.
  • Administer treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies following policies.
  • Evaluate intervention effectiveness and adjust care plans accordingly.
  • Collaborate with physicians and staff to meet patient needs and participate in evidence-based decision-making.
  • Mentor new staff and students, providing professional guidance.
  • Participate in unit-based decision-making and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Graduate of Specialty Training Program in Nursing (required).
  • Ability to provide comprehensive patient-centered care.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
