Seeking a full-time Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner for a trauma surgery locum position in Robbinsdale, MN, from May to July. The role involves primarily functioning as a trauma hospitalist rounder, with occasional ED consults, trauma activations, and procedures. No call responsibilities; in-house coverage only. Typical patient load includes 10-14 non-ICU, 6 ICU, and 2-15 ED admissions daily. EMR is EPIC.
Must have MN license, PA or ACNP certification, and at least 1 year of inpatient trauma or ICU experience. Responsibilities include trauma alerts, discharges, admissions, and comprehensive patient management, with ATLS, PALS, ACLS certifications required. Preferred but not mandatory procedures include vent management, chest tube insertion, central/arterial lines, and suturing minor lacerations. Compensation ranges from $130-$145/hr, with flexible schedule and up to 40 hours per week. Location offers a small-town feel near Minneapolis, with access to parks, trails, and city amenities.
