Role Overview: This position supports nursing practice through participation in the Nurse Residency Program, including attending classes, workshops, and clinical competencies. Under supervision, the individual manages clinical situations, collects patient data, and assists with care delivery, ensuring adherence to organizational policies and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and communicate patient needs to RNs.
- Provide treatments, explain procedures, and advocate for patient rights under RN supervision.
- Document patient care accurately, monitor for issues, and escalate concerns appropriately.
- Implement cost-effective practices and contribute to quality improvement efforts.
- Assist with staffing adjustments based on patient volume and acuity.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Completion of an accredited LPN program or recognized equivalency.
- Current LPN license recognized by the NCSBN Compact or state licensing authority.
- Less than 12 months of LPN experience; candidates with more experience are ineligible.
- Ability to adhere to policies, demonstrate effective communication, and provide compassionate patient care.
