Job Summary:
Provides patient care and supports clinical education as part of a Nurse Residency Program under supervision. Attends training, completes clinical competencies, and participates in professional development activities. Works closely with licensed RNs to manage patient data, perform treatments, and ensure adherence to organizational policies including patient confidentiality, infection control, and medication administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collects patient information, communicates needs, and documents care under RN supervision.
- Participates in interdisciplinary care planning and makes referrals to support services.
- Delivers care according to standards, explains procedures, and advocates for patients.
- Records care provided and observes for complications or problems.
- Incorporates cost-effective practices, participates in quality improvement, and adjusts staffing as needed.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Completion of an approved LPN program or recognized equivalency.
- Current LPN licensure in a recognized state or multistate license.
- Less than 12 months of LPN experience required.
