The Therapist / Mental Health Professional provides therapeutic services, coordinates treatment programs, and supervises staff in a mental health setting. They perform assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning, while also offering community education, consultation, and crisis support.
Requires an advanced degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or related fields, with licensure or eligibility within two years. Preferably has at least two years of experience providing therapy in human services. Must maintain or obtain an Iowa license if practicing locally. Responsibilities include individual therapy, participating in team meetings, staff training, and developing educational materials. Provides support to interns and responds to emergencies as needed.
