Licensed Mental Health Professional

The Licensed Mental Health Professional will be a key member of an innovative Safe Options Support (SOS) team dedicated to providing comprehensive care to street homeless and subway-dwelling individuals in the community.

  • The multi-disciplinary team includes a leader, clinicians, care managers, and peer specialists, applying the evidence-based Critical Time Intervention model.
  • Responsibilities include street outreach, coordinating needs before and after housing, enhancing daily living skills, offering supportive counseling, and advocating against discrimination and healthcare inequities.
  • The role emphasizes member choice, harm reduction, non-coercion, flexibility, and person-centered care.
  • Post-housing support continues for several months to ensure stability and independence.
  • This field-based position requires periodic on-call coverage, flexible hours, and travel across three counties.
  • Qualifications include a licensed master’s degree in social work, counseling, nursing, or psychology; MSW candidates with plans for licensure are considered.
