The Licensed Mental Health Professional will be integral to a new, innovative Safe Options Support (SOS) team providing comprehensive care to street homeless and subway-dwelling individuals in the community.
The multi-disciplinary team includes a leader, clinicians, care managers, and peer specialists, utilizing the evidence-based Critical Time Intervention model. The role involves street outreach, coordinating needs pre- and post-housing, supporting daily skills, counseling, and advocating against discrimination and healthcare inequities. Emphasis on member choice, harm reduction, non-coercion, and person-centered care. Post-housing, the team supports participants for months to ensure stability and independence. The position requires fieldwork, on-call availability, and flexible hours, with travel across three counties. Minimum qualifications include a master’s degree in social work, mental health counseling, nursing, or psychology, with licensure or a plan to obtain it.
