Lead Ultrasound Technologist – Kelsey-Seybold Clinic – Main Campus

Summary of Role:

The Ultrasound Lead Technologist performs diagnostic ultrasound imaging under a qualified provider’s order, utilizing high-frequency sound equipment in accordance with departmental policies and protocols. They may conduct specialized procedures such as breast sonohysterography or vascular ultrasound, depending on the location. Responsibilities include operating Radiology Information System (RIS) and Patient Archiving System (PACS), and potentially performing additional technical or non-technical duties based on training and credentials. The role involves team leadership, process improvement, and team development to ensure high-quality patient care and operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program or meet ACR ultrasound technologist standards
  • RDMS with two specialty ultrasound registries and RVT or RVS, or RT (R) (S) with RVT or RVS
  • At least 3-5 years of ultrasound experience or relevant in-house experience
  • Proficiency in digital image acquisition, computer use, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare-related field
  • Additional ultrasound certifications (e.g., Ab, OB, BR)
  • PACS/RIS experience and multilingual abilities
