Lead HHA

Role Overview

The Lead Caregiver serves as a shift leader in a senior living environment, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compassionate resident care while supporting and coaching team members.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Managing shift assignments, attendance, and coverage coordination.
  • Providing hands-on assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADL).
  • Mentoring caregivers on quality standards, documentation, and hospitality.
  • Reviewing charting to ensure alignment with Individualized Service Plans (ISP).
  • Monitoring resident status changes and communicating concerns promptly.
  • Supporting onboarding and mentoring new staff members.
  • Promoting safety, compliance, and smooth shift transitions.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High School Diploma/GED and age 18+.
  • Certifications in CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration.
  • Strong communication, delegation, and decision-making abilities.
  • Experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior care preferred.

This role combines hands-on caregiving with frontline leadership, emphasizing professionalism, accountability, and compassionate service to residents and team members alike.
