RN IMCU Clinical Nurse Coordinator
Provide and coordinate high-quality care for intermediate care/step-down patients. Oversee daily clinical operations, support and mentor bedside nurses, and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Key Duties
- Monitor patient status and clinical progress in IMCU/step-down settings
- Administer medications and deliver direct nursing care according to established protocols
- Ensure adherence to clinical guidelines, safety standards, and evidence-based practices
- Promote patient safety through effective assessment, intervention, and communication
- Drive quality initiatives and support continuous improvement efforts
- Support staff education and professional development
- Model a culture of compassion, teamwork, and continuous learning
Qualifications & Skills
- Current RN licensure
- Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and patient safety skills
- Leadership capability for coordinating care and mentoring nursing staff
- Effective collaboration and communication with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Commitment to quality improvement and ongoing learning
