Role Overview:
Provides direct patient care in an inpatient surgical unit, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing care standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication.
- Participates in ensuring patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, while engaging in professional development.
- Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans with clear goals, collaborating with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
- Uses critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences and barriers to involvement.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing, RN license, and no prior experience required.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and at least 2 years of experience.
- Strong communication, assessment, and patient education skills are essential.
