Inpatient Psych Nurse Supervisor

Role Overview: This position involves coordinating patient care, managing personnel, maintaining and purchasing equipment, and tracking departmental statistics in a psychiatric inpatient setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Hire, train, assign, evaluate staff, and develop professional growth plans to support departmental goals.
  • Assist in staffing, budgeting, and responding to business changes to meet financial targets.
  • Oversee patient care, ensuring interventions are age-appropriate and documented per policy.
  • Develop and implement collaborative care plans based on assessments and treatments.
  • Manage staff productivity, conduct performance reviews, handle payroll, and facilitate communication and meetings.
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed, maintaining a safe environment for staff and patients.

  • Qualifications & Skills:
    • BSN degree with 2+ years RN experience; inpatient behavioral health experience preferred.
    • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
    • RN licensure required; supervisory experience is a plus.
