Role Overview:
Seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join a dynamic inpatient pharmacy team. The role involves providing cross-coverage for multiple technician responsibilities, assisting with medication preparation, dispensing, sterile and non-sterile compounding, inventory management, and documentation. The technician serves as a resource for complex issues, supports workflow, and participates in process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain quality assurance standards and regulatory compliance
- Prepare medication orders, support inventory activities, and assist in medication dispensing
- Train staff, manage electronic systems, and ensure accurate documentation
- Pursue proficiency in complex sterile/non-sterile compounding and other advanced skills
Qualifications & Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2-5 years of experience; 5-10 years preferred
- State Board Pharmacy Registration and Pharmacy Tech Certification
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, inventory, and electronic systems
