Role Overview:
This position is for a Pharmacy Technician III supporting inpatient medication therapy in a hospital setting. Under supervision, you will assist with medication preparation, dispensing, sterile and non-sterile compounding, inventory management, and use of electronic systems. You will serve as a resource, answer questions, and help resolve complex issues within the pharmacy department.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining quality assurance and documentation compliance
- Preparing medication orders and supporting workflow management
- Handling inventory activities such as storage, ordering, and rotation
- Training staff and maintaining automated systems
- Advancing skills in sterile compounding and process improvements
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2-5 years of experience; 5-10 years preferred
- State Board Pharmacy Registration and Pharmacy Technician Certification
