Role Overview:
Provides direct patient care in a 6-bed ICU with a 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio, specializing in acute cardiac and critical care. Responsible for assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient needs, promoting patient and family-centered care, and educating on illness management, medication, and post-care needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops and documents individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, ensuring effective communication across care transitions.
- Uses critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional patient needs, considering cultural and personal values.
- Participates in activities that ensure patient safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance, alongside ongoing professional development.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum education: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree; RN licensure required.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and at least 2 years of experience.
- Strong assessment skills, critical thinking, and ability to work in a team environment.
- This role is safety-sensitive, requiring alertness and adherence to safety protocols.
