House Supervisor – PRN Days

Role Overview: The RN House Supervisor provides hospital-wide leadership, ensuring safe, quality patient care and operational excellence. Serving as a key member of the leadership team, they oversee clinical, financial, and human resources in the absence of senior management, collaborating with staff, physicians, and departments to meet hospital goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate hospital operations, including emergency response, surge plans, and patient throughput.
  • Supervise department supervisors, charge nurses, and assist with staffing and resource allocation.
  • Promote safety, regulatory compliance, and quality standards using data and evidence-based practices.
  • Facilitate effective communication across teams, resolve conflicts, and foster team collaboration.
  • Serve as a safety officer, ensuring a culture of safety and risk mitigation.
  • Manage hospital codes, emergency procedures, and operational capacity concerns.
  • Support performance improvement initiatives and model professional standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing, Business Administration, or Health Administration.
  • Current RN license (single-state or multi-state compact) and BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years clinical experience and 2 years nursing leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
