Home Infusion Registered Nurse – RN

Role Overview:
The Infusion Nurse provides clinical care and education to patients receiving parenteral medications, primarily via intravenous, subcutaneous, intramuscular, or intraspinal routes. Services are delivered in ambulatory settings or at patients’ homes, following company policies, protocols, and physician orders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build rapport with patients and families, providing infusion therapy education and monitoring response
  • Assess patient suitability for infusion therapy, considering safety and caregiver support
  • Document medical history, plans of care, treatment notes, and clinical summaries accurately
  • Establish vascular access devices and administer medications per prescribed protocols
  • Monitor patient responses, manage infusion reactions, and communicate findings with the care team
  • Collaborate with home health agencies and maintain compliance with regulations, licensure, and safety standards
  • Participate in training, serve as a clinical resource, and support team members

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Active, unrestricted RN license with Basic Life Support/CPR certification
  • At least 1 year of clinical RN experience, preferably in infusion-related settings
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records and strong organizational, communication, and teaching skills
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for site visits

Preferred Qualifications:
  • RN licensure in specific states, experience with home infusion, and familiarity with relevant standards and regulations
