We are seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide skilled therapy services in home health settings.
Responsibilities include:
- Assessing, treating, and educating patients under the supervision of a physical therapist and according to the physician’s plan of care.
- Communicating progress and updates to patients, caregivers, and team members.
- Providing treatments to improve or maintain patient function, relieve pain, and ensure safety.
- Teaching patients and caregivers about assistive devices and rehabilitation techniques.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary team members and planning patient discharge.
- Documenting patient observations, treatment progress, and ensuring timely record-keeping.
- Adhering to ethical standards, maintaining confidentiality, and complying with professional guidelines.
Qualifications include:
- Graduation from an accredited PTA program.
- Current, unrestricted state license as a PTA.
- Valid CPR certification.
Preferred experience: in home health therapy and OASIS documentation.
