Role Overview:
This position involves providing direct patient care within a dialysis unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, following nursing standards.
Responsibilities:
- Promote patient- and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
- Participate in activities that ensure patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, while engaging in ongoing professional development.
- Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, patients, and families, ensuring effective communication across care settings.
- Utilize critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences, values, and cultural considerations.
- Maintain safety standards, demonstrating alertness and safe working practices at all times.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing; RN license required.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and at least 2 years of experience.
- Experience with Peritoneal Dialysis is preferred.
