Role Overview
The Graduate Nurse position offers a transitional role for new graduates preparing to become Registered Nurses. Responsibilities include providing direct patient care aligned with training and competency, assisting RNs with care activities, and promoting patient satisfaction and outcomes. This role offers clinical learning opportunities by familiarizing nurses with procedures, disease processes, and the hospital environment, while interacting with healthcare providers.
Key Duties
- Build relationships with patients and families to support recovery
- Collaborate with healthcare teams for coordinated care
- Assist in delivering direct patient care when needed
- Participate in a structured curriculum to develop skills and confidence
Qualifications & Skills
- CPR certification required
- Completion of RN program and eligibility to sit for NCLEX
- Must take NCLEX within six months of being granted Graduate Nurse status
