Geriatric Psychiatry RN (Full-Time) (Rotating)

Role Overview:

This position involves providing direct patient care for adults aged 50+ in a supportive behavioral health setting, focusing on assessments, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, medication, and post-treatment needs.
  • Participate in activities that ensure patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, while engaging in professional development.
  • Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans collaboratively with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
  • Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, cultural, spiritual, and population-specific factors.
  • Work in a safety-sensitive environment requiring constant alertness.
  • Qualifications & Skills:

    • Licensed RN with a Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s preferred).
    • Basic clinical experience; 2+ years of experience preferred.
    • Strong communication, assessment, and critical thinking skills.
