Seeking a general surgeon as a 1099 independent contractor for a part-time on-site role. This position involves treating patients during approximately a 4-hour shift weekly or biweekly, complementing your current practice.
Responsibilities include managing medically complex patients, aiding in return-to-work and functional restoration, and collaborating with medical and therapy teams to provide non-surgical and surgical treatments for orthopedic and neuromusculoskeletal injuries. Active communication with employers and case management are essential.
Qualifications include licensure in the practice state, MD or DO graduation from an accredited program, unrestricted DEA license, board certification or eligibility in General Surgery, and medical malpractice insurance. Preferred experience with work-related injuries. Compensation is based on a revenue share model.
