Full-Time Radiation Therapist

Role: Full-Time Radiation Therapist in the Radiation Oncology Department, responsible for delivering precise ionizing radiation treatments to a diverse patient population in accordance with physician prescriptions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in Quality Control monitoring and ensure safety procedures for self and patients.
  • Perform patient assessments, prepare and simulate treatment setups, and document accurately in Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
  • Provide specialty care, educate patients and families on side effects, and recognize adverse reactions for immediate reporting.
  • Operate radiation equipment safely, adhering to radiation safety measures and universal precautions.
  • Schedule treatments, manage patient mobility and fall precautions, and assist with additional tasks or on-call duties.
  • Serve as a clinical instructor for students, providing evaluations and feedback.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Associate’s Degree from an accredited Radiation Therapy program.
  • Certifications: ARRT Radiation Therapy and BLS (or BLS-Instructor) are required upon hire.
  • Minimum of 2 years of radiation therapy experience preferred.
  • Ability to treat and simulate patients accurately, demonstrating technical proficiency.
