Role: Outpatient Addiction Medicine Physician
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive addiction treatment for adult patients, including new patient evaluations and medication follow-ups, focusing on dual diagnosis and medication-assisted treatment such as methadone.
Key Duties:
– Conduct 45-minute new patient assessments and 20-30 minute follow-up visits.
– Manage a caseload of 15-20 patients daily.
– Prescribe medications within scope of practice.
– Collaborate with nursing staff, medical assistants, and administrative support.
Qualifications & Skills:
– Board certification in Family Medicine with addiction medicine experience.
– Active New York State medical license, DEA registration, and Medicaid provider status.
Work Environment:
– On-site outpatient clinic setting.
– Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
– No call required.
