Role: The Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring safe, evidence-based medication use within the healthcare institution. They verify patient medication orders for appropriateness and accuracy, oversee pharmacy technicians, and provide clinical pharmaceutical care to prevent and resolve medication-related problems.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient-centered medication therapy recommendations and education to patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Participate in quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and clinical guideline development.
- Ensure safe, efficient medication distribution, collaborating with pharmacy staff and overseeing technicians.
- Support professional development through mentoring, education, and participation in departmental activities.
- Engage in ongoing self-development, attend educational programs, and demonstrate professional membership and leadership.
- Comply with organizational policies, standards, and codes of conduct.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Required education: Bachelor’s or Doctorate in Pharmacy.
- Active pharmacist licensure (RPH).
- Minimum two years of pharmacy experience preferred.
- Effective communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
