Emergency Medicine Pharmacist

Role: The Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring safe, evidence-based medication use within the healthcare institution. They verify patient medication orders for appropriateness and accuracy, oversee pharmacy technicians, and provide clinical pharmaceutical care to prevent and resolve medication-related problems.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver patient-centered medication therapy recommendations and education to patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Participate in quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and clinical guideline development.
  • Ensure safe, efficient medication distribution, collaborating with pharmacy staff and overseeing technicians.
  • Support professional development through mentoring, education, and participation in departmental activities.
  • Engage in ongoing self-development, attend educational programs, and demonstrate professional membership and leadership.
  • Comply with organizational policies, standards, and codes of conduct.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Required education: Bachelor’s or Doctorate in Pharmacy.
  • Active pharmacist licensure (RPH).
  • Minimum two years of pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Effective communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
