Emergency Department Nurse – Night Shift

Role Overview:

Provides direct patient care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within established nursing standards. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication use. Participates in activities to ensure patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, and engages in professional development. Develops and documents individualized care plans collaboratively with the healthcare team, patients, and families, ensuring effective communication across care continuum. Utilizes critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient values, cultural, spiritual, and population-specific factors. This is a safety-sensitive role requiring alertness and safe work practices.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree (RN required); Bachelor’s Degree preferred with 2+ years of experience.
  • Licenses & Certifications: Active RN license.
  • Experience: No prior experience required; preferred experience includes at least 2 years of nursing experience.

  • Participate in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and professional growth activities.
