Diagnostic Radiology Technologist – Regional Float

Role Overview: Radiologic Technologists administer ionizing radiation for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes. They perform a full range of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, ensuring patient safety, proper preparation, and accurate data acquisition for diagnosis.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain correct patient information, ensure proper identification, and prepare patients for exams.
  • Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles.
  • Prepare and administer medications via vascular access as prescribed.
  • Evaluate images for quality, proper positioning, and verify data storage or transfer.
  • Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers.
  • Assist licensed practitioners during fluoroscopic and specialized procedures, including outside the radiology department.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Graduate of a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology (required); Bachelor’s preferred.
  • New graduates must obtain ARRT-R registry within six months.
  • Applicants hired after a specified date must progress to level 2 within 24 months.

Work Environment & Compliance: Typically performed in a clinical setting, with accountability for adhering to policies and procedures. Additional department-specific skills may be required.
