Diagnostic Radiology Technologist – Nights

Role Summary: Responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, administering ionizing radiation, and ensuring patient safety in a clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain correct orders, identify and prepare patients, and document clinical history while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles to maximize patient safety.
  • Prepare and administer medications via vascular access as prescribed, and evaluate images for quality and proper positioning.
  • Verify data transfer and archival, educate and monitor healthcare providers and students, and assist licensed practitioners in procedures.
  • Perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures both within and outside the radiology department, including in operating rooms and ICU.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Graduation from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Ability to obtain ARRT-R registry within 6 months; progression to higher levels based on skills and experience.
  • Strong attention to patient safety, technical proficiency, and the ability to work independently or with team support.
