CT Technologist – Weekender Nights

Role Overview: CT Technologists administer ionizing radiation for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes, performing computed tomography and molecular imaging procedures. They acquire, analyze, and verify data for diagnosis and assist licensed practitioners with interventional procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure correct patient identification, proper preparation, and confidentiality adherence.
  • Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles to maximize safety.
  • Prepare, administer, and document medications and radiation exposure per legal and institutional policies.
  • Evaluate image quality, verify data storage, and perform post-processing if needed.
  • Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers.
  • Assist in interventional procedures and perform CT scans as prescribed.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Certification by ARRT or NMTCB required upon hire; new graduates must obtain certification prior to employment.
  • Completion of radiologic technology training; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, follow protocols, and ensure patient safety.
