CT Technologist – Weekender Nights

Job Summary

Computed Tomography (CT) Technologists administer ionizing radiation for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes, perform imaging procedures, and analyze data to aid diagnosis and treatment. They independently conduct or assist with CT scans and molecular imaging, prepare and document medications and radiation exposure in compliance with laws and policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Obtain correct patient information, ensure proper identification, and prepare patients for exams with confidentiality.
  • Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and prioritize patient safety following ALARA principles.
  • Administer medications via vascular access as prescribed and evaluate images for quality and proper positioning.
  • Verify data transfer, assist with interventional procedures, and educate and monitor students and healthcare providers.
  • Perform prescribed CT procedures while adhering to organizational policies and ensuring safety.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Certification by ARRT or NMTCB required upon hire; new graduates must obtain certification before starting.
  • Advanced certification within 24 months for hires after a specified date.
  • Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
