The CT Technologist performs computerized axial tomography procedures using various imaging equipment and contrast materials. Responsibilities include acquiring and processing patient exams, performing multiplanar reformats and 3D images independently, reviewing cases with radiologists, and administering IV, oral, or rectal contrast while monitoring for adverse reactions. They review radiology orders, patient history, and supporting data to ensure medical necessity and image quality. The role involves maintaining equipment, ensuring safety protocols, and assisting in instructing students or new staff. Candidates must have an Associate’s Degree or a completion certificate in Radiologic Technology, along with licensing and certifications such as BLS, radiologic technologist licensure, and ARRT registrations in Radiography and CT. A minimum of 1+ years of radiology experience and a positive attitude are essential. The position may include cross-training in other modalities and supporting departmental needs.
