CT Technologist – Part Time

Role Overview: Performs CT procedures to acquire diagnostic images, supporting physicians in disease diagnosis and treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operates CT scanners, power injectors, and computer systems to produce high-quality images.
  • Maintains proficiency with various CT systems across multiple locations.
  • Follows protocols based on guidelines, ensuring dose data is tracked and alerts are generated for high radiation levels.
  • Utilizes extensive knowledge of clinical histories and major organ systems to select appropriate protocols.
  • Prepares and positions patients, applies protective shielding, and selects correct technical factors.
  • Performs CT interventional and CTA procedures, including advanced studies like TAVR, EVAR, and cardiac imaging.
  • Maintains understanding of pharmacology and physiology to optimize scan quality and patient safety.
  • Uses physics knowledge to minimize patient dose and interpret technical factors for optimal imaging.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Graduate from Specialty Training Program (required).
  • Technical expertise in CT imaging, dose management, and patient care.
  • Ability to operate multiple CT systems and adapt to different clinical environments.
  • Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and physics relevant to imaging.
  • Focus on safety, quality, and adherence to protocols.
