Role Overview: This position involves performing diagnostic imaging procedures with a focus on patient safety, quality, and compassionate care. The technologist assists with a variety of technical procedures, ensuring proper equipment setup, image quality, and adherence to safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Adjust imaging techniques to minimize radiation exposure while maintaining image clarity.
- Verify clinician orders, obtain patient history, and assess contraindications.
- Perform procedures accurately, following established protocols and sterile techniques.
- Educate and communicate effectively with patients and families to reduce anxiety.
- Ensure proper patient identification, privacy, and comfort during exams.
- Operate imaging equipment, troubleshoot malfunctions, and maintain cleanliness.
- Participate in quality control, document procedures, and ensure timely image transmission.
- Assist in training staff and support department operations, including patient transport and supply management.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Radiologic Technology certification or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year radiology experience.
- ARRT-R certification in Radiography.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Dependable, flexible, accountable, and cooperative with strong critical thinking skills.
