CT Technologist (Non Registered)

Role Overview: This position involves performing diagnostic imaging procedures with a focus on patient safety, quality, and compassionate care. The technologist assists with a variety of technical procedures, ensuring proper equipment setup, image quality, and adherence to safety protocols.


Responsibilities:

  • Adjust imaging techniques to minimize radiation exposure while maintaining image clarity.
  • Verify clinician orders, obtain patient history, and assess contraindications.
  • Perform procedures accurately, following established protocols and sterile techniques.
  • Educate and communicate effectively with patients and families to reduce anxiety.
  • Ensure proper patient identification, privacy, and comfort during exams.
  • Operate imaging equipment, troubleshoot malfunctions, and maintain cleanliness.
  • Participate in quality control, document procedures, and ensure timely image transmission.
  • Assist in training staff and support department operations, including patient transport and supply management.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Radiologic Technology certification or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year radiology experience.
  • ARRT-R certification in Radiography.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Dependable, flexible, accountable, and cooperative with strong critical thinking skills.

Key Duties: Perform diagnostic exams, ensure equipment safety, deliver patient-centered care, maintain quality standards, support departmental operations, and promote effective communication.
