CT Technologist (Non Registered)

Role Overview: This position involves performing diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, and delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The technologist will set up and operate imaging equipment, position patients appropriately, and verify orders for accuracy. They are responsible for maintaining equipment, adhering to infection control protocols, and ensuring images meet clinical standards for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adjust imaging techniques to minimize radiation exposure while maintaining image quality.
  • Prepare patients through proper communication and pre-procedural instructions, ensuring comfort and privacy.
  • Perform a variety of technical procedures independently, utilizing critical thinking and technical skills.
  • Respond to emergencies, maintain equipment, and ensure safety standards are met.
  • Document procedures accurately, review images for quality, and send studies to PACS promptly.
  • Assist in training staff and support departmental operations, including patient transport and supply management.
  • Follow infection control and regulatory standards, including Joint Commission guidelines.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Certification in Radiologic Technology and a minimum of 1 year radiology experience.
  • ARRT-R certification in Radiography.
  • Current BLS certification (ARC-BLS or BLS-Instructor preferred).
  • Dependability, flexibility, and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and demonstrate technical proficiency.
