Role Overview: Performs CT scans and ionizing radiation procedures, ensuring accurate positioning, protocol adherence, and timely completion of studies for radiologist interpretation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify patients, communicate with healthcare team, and prepare patients and equipment for procedures.
- Perform scans using established protocols, including 3D imaging and multiplanar reconstruction.
- Explain procedures to patients, obtain necessary histories, and ensure patient comfort.
- Maintain room cleanliness, stock supplies, and ensure proper equipment functioning.
- Operate imaging systems, archive studies, and document procedures accurately.
- Assist with training, respond to emergencies, and perform point-of-care testing as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety, contrast administration, and documentation requirements.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- ARRT certification in Radiography and CT, CPR, and SCRQSA certification (for South Carolina).
- Knowledge of imaging protocols, anatomy, pathology, and customer service skills.
- Basic computer and office equipment skills.
Additional Details: Night shift; non-management role reporting to a supervisor. No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.
