Role Overview: A CT Technologist I is responsible for performing computed tomography and molecular imaging procedures, administering radiation for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes, and assisting licensed practitioners with interventional procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain correct patient identification, prepare patients for exams, and document clinical history while maintaining confidentiality.
- Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and ensure patient safety following ALARA principles.
- Prepare and administer medications via vascular access as prescribed, and evaluate image quality and proper positioning.
- Assist with and perform CT procedures, and support data transfer and archival processes.
- Educate and monitor students and healthcare team members.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Certification by ARRT or NMTCB upon hire; new graduates must obtain certification prior to starting.
- Completion of a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology; a bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
- Ability to work independently, follow safety protocols, and communicate effectively.
