Responsibilities: Perform computed tomography and molecular imaging procedures, administer radiation and medications following regulations, ensure patient safety, prepare and evaluate images, and assist with interventional procedures. Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, while maintaining confidentiality.
Qualifications: Certification by ARRT or NMTCB required upon hire; new graduates must obtain certification prior to employment. Advanced certification within 24 months of hire for those hired after a specified date.
Skills: Knowledge of imaging protocols, radiation safety principles (ALARA), patient preparation, and image evaluation. Ability to assist licensed practitioners and work independently in a clinical environment.
Education: Graduate of a radiologic technology program; a related bachelor’s degree is preferred.
