Role Overview: Supervises nursing care on an assigned unit, ensuring high-quality, safe, and cost-effective patient care. Coordinates activities, supports unit improvements, and maximizes patient satisfaction through effective interactions.
Responsibilities: Provides direct patient care, supervises staff, assists with orientation, conducts performance appraisals, manages staffing and supplies, addresses performance issues, and ensures regulatory compliance. Communicates effectively with staff, patients, and visitors, supports evidence-based practices, mentors staff, and promotes a positive work environment aligned with Magnet principles. Handles patient and family concerns, follows up on incidents, and ensures proper documentation.
Qualifications & Skills: Enrolled in a BSN program with at least 2 years of nursing experience, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills are essential.
