Role Overview: This position involves overseeing patient care and unit operations within an acute care setting, ensuring adherence to nursing standards and hospital policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage administrative and operational issues for the care team. Support unit and hospital goals as a department leader. Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and colleagues. Promote a Culture of Safety by following policies and reporting safety events. Participate in coaching, mentoring, and performance appraisals of staff. Assist in managing staffing, resources, and patient care delivery. Utilize evidence-based research and contribute to ongoing research activities. Provide clinical, consultative, and technical support as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Minimum of 3 years of RN experience in an acute care hospital. Ability to adapt to new technologies and processes. Proven leadership in guiding and directing staff. Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Current RN licensure and Basic Life Support certification.
Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs, perform activities such as kneeling, bending, and CPR, with frequent sitting, standing, and keyboard use.
